This Election race for Norfolk County Sheriff has been decided, in the race that pitted a McDermott against a McDermott.
Incumbent Republican Jerry McDermott faced a challenge from Democrat, Patrick McDermott, with Patrick emerging as the winner. Here is Patrick McDermott:

Patrick will fill this seat for two years- with the election in 2022 to fill the full six year term.
Former Sheriff Michael Bellotti stepped down in 2018 when he became President of Quincy College, Republican Jerry McDermott was then appointed to the post.
