The theme today is togetherness. We’ll tell you about some great cookbooks, we’ll talk about the history of Thanksgiving and we’ll learn more about a pen pal program with our local seniors. 

First we check in with Amy Naples from the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce at 7:41 am.

And at 8:10 am it’s time for pie! Well, Pie Academya gorgeous new cookbook out by Ken Haedrich.

And speaking of cookbooks, local communications maven Michelle McGrath has spent her time in lockdown perfecting her recipes for her first cookbook called The Creative Table: Inspired Recipes that Nourish, Gather and UniteMichelle will join us at 8:40 and will share where her cookbook is carried locally, including Buttonwood Books in Cohasset!

At 9:10 am we’ll meet Kayla Fletcher from the Village at Proprietors Green here in Marshfield. Kayla created a pen pal program for the residents of the Village and she’ll join us to talk about the Holiday Card Exchange!

And finally at 9:22 we meet author Denise Kiernan, author of We Gather Together: A Nation Divided, a President in Turmoil, and a Historic Campaign to Embrace Gratitude and Grace. New York Times bestselling author brings us the story of Sarah Josepha Hale, a widowed mother with no formal schooling who became one of the 19th century’s most influential tastemakers. Despite personal tragedy and ongoing political conflict, she campaigned for decades to make real an annual day of thanks.
