In Marshfield, the project for building a new police station and DPW facility has been awarded to a contractor for a million dollars less than the original estimated cost.
Here is Marshfield Town Administrator speaking with Selectman Michael Bradley and Police Chief Phil Tavares.
The Marshfield senior center is also part of the capital project and will be expanded by over 10,000 sq. feet and an elevator.
The contract went to G. R. Construction out of Quincy. Maresco says he hopes to break ground before Christmas.
The project could be finished by spring of 2022 and the new police department will be located on Plain Street.
