The Marshfield Planning Board approved a special permit request for a retail marijuana establishment planned off of Route 139.
The Marshfield Planning Board unanimously approved the special permit for Frozen 4, which is planning a recreational marijuana dispensary at 985 Plain Street. The business is located in the town’s Water Resource Protection district in town, and per town bylaws, businesses need approval to ensure protection of the town’s water supply.
Attorney Steven Guard for Frozen 4 says the delivery bay would include a drain with a holding tank.
“Any kind of spillage that might happen in that area, with delivery trucks or anything that we’re moving in and out would be self-contained in that, I think it’s a 500-gallon tight tank,” said Guard.
Guard says they’re switching to a CO2 system for extraction, rather than butane.
The Zoning Board unanimously approved a site plan and special permit for the facility in September.
Also in September, the ZBA approved plans for Health Circle to open a retail marijuana dispensary on Enterprise Drive.
