Norwell Police Officer Alerts Homeowners to House Fire During Routine Patrol

Norwell Firefighters respond to a two alarm fire in the early morning hours today.

Norwell Fire Chief Jeff Simpson says Norwell Police Officer, Joseph Esposito, alerted the homeowners after he saw smoke coming from the residence at 496 River Street.

Chief Simpson says everyone got out safely.

Mutual aid to Norwell included Hanover, Hingham, Marshfield, Pembroke, Scituate, and Rockland. Whitman Fire provided an ambulance.
