WATD’s Ed Perry Broadcasts from Fessenden Site in Brant Rock

In 1906, Reginald Aubrey Fessenden conducted the first radio broadcast in the world from 400-foot towers in Brant Rock.

It was a morning concert, where Fessenden gave a speech, played his violin, and wished listeners a merry Christmas.

Ed Perry, WATD’s station owner, General Manager, and radio historian, broadcasted from that very location on December 24, 2020.
