As 2020 comes to a close, the City of Brockton is continuing to feel the effects of COVID-19.
And as the area prepares to ring in a New Year, Mayor Robert Sullivan is urging residents to celebrate in accordance with COVID safety guidelines.
Sullivan tells WATD News that they are preparing for a potential spike in COVID cases following the holiday season.
He also says that efforts are being focused on making sure vaccine distribution is being handled properly.
Overall Sullivan says they are looking towards a brighter 2021.
Sullivan said that while some people didn’t follow guidelines as closely as he would have liked, overall most Brocktonians understood the seriousness of the disease and took precautions to protect against the virus.
