Snowy owls have been spotted along the South Shore over the past few weeks and officials in Duxbury are asking the public to give them more space…WATDs David Cedrone has the story.
I’ve seen the photos on social media and some of the drama as well with people getting upset with amateur photographers walking right up to the snowy owl to get a better shot.
The problem is —it’s actually harassing the owl and interrupting how it lives.
Duxbury town manager Rene Read says signs have been posted with rules that must be followed.

If you don’t follow the rules Read says you can expect a fine.

According to Mass Audubon the Arctic Snowy owls are safely captured at Logan Airport and relocated every year after flying up to 400 miles from Quebec Canada.
