In Plymouth, it’s dredge season and County Administrator Frank Basler reports that the County continues to make progress in its dredge operation department.

The dredge was purchased with grant money about five years ago and it has been the practice of the County to offer dredging services to the towns at a minimum fee:
“We now are working with four towns that will be utilizing the dredge in projects over the next four months. This is dredge season, our excavator dredge is a perfect tool to be used for small projects by local towns utilizing their own DPW team members, saving the towns thousands of dollars.”
The four towns currently contracting for the County’s dredge service are Mattapoisett, Falmouth, Harwichport and Mashpee.
