Funeral Procession and Mass to Be Held in Marshfield for Slain Boston Firefighter

A Funeral Mass and procession will take place today for Boston firefighter Michael Ricci.

The Funeral Mass will start at 11 a.m. from the St. Christine Church in Marshfield at 1295 Main Street. The procession will include first responders from Boston, Marshfield, and surrounding towns.

Ricci, 51, will be buried at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.

According to his obituary, he was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Gulf War. After completing his service, he served 23 years with the Boston Fire Department – reaching the rank of Aide to the District Chief.

Ricci was fatally stabbed at his Marshfield home. His wife, Christine Ricci, has been charged with Murder. She has pleaded not guilty to the charge and was ordered to be held without bail.
