Quincy Police are investigating two robberies that took place last Thursday.
The first incident took place around 4:45 a.m. outside of 95 West Squantum St. when a 69-year-old Asian man was attacked while walking towards the North Quincy train station and had his lunch bag stolen.
He sustained serious injuries in the attack and is currently hospitalized.
Police say the second robbery occurred shortly before 10 p.m. on West Squantum St. by Division St. when a 55-year-old Asian female had her shoulder bag stolen from her while walking home from the North Quincy train station.
Two people witnessed the robbery take place and were able to capture the suspect on their cell phone.
The two witnesses were also able to return the victim’s bag and property back to her and she was not injured.
Police say that while they can’t be certain that the two robberies are related, both occurred within close proximity of each other and both victims described the suspect as a white male.
