A Watertown man faces charges following his arrest in Quincy on Friday.
Police say around 3:30 a.m. an individual was seen walking down the sidewalk on Belmont Street.
An officer says the individual walked up an unlit driveway after being spotted.
The officer drove his cruiser across the intersection and illuminated the driveway, but couldn’t see anyone.
He then saw someone hiding behind a car in the driveway and radioed for backup.
The officer exited his cruiser and commanded the individual to come forward and he complied.
A search of the suspect uncovered a screwdriver, cash, credit cards, keys, medication, and several cell phones.
Police say the clothes being worn by the suspect, identified as 37-year-old Christopher McHugh, matched those seen in a video of a breaking and entering incident February 28th.
McHugh was arrested on charges of: possession of burglarious tools, 3 counts of credit card theft, and possession of a Class B substance.
