Brockton is among 10 communities that will receive funds through the state’s Site Readiness Program.
MassDevelopment President & CEO Dan Rivera made the announcement on Tuesday.
Governor Charlie Baker said that programs like this provide both an economic and environmental benefit.
State officials say the Site Readiness Program “aims to boost Massachusetts’ supply of large, well-located, project-ready sites; accelerate private-sector investment in industrial and commercial projects; and support the conversion of abandoned sites and obsolete facilities into clean, actively used, tax-generating properties.”
