An Quincy man is facing charges following his arrest for attempt to entice a minor.
East Bridgewater Police say on March 9th they received a report from a female minor that someone was sending her sexually explicit messages on Snapchat.
Police say they began exchanging messages with the suspect using an undercover Snapchat account, and then after repeated attempts to arrange a face-to-face meeting, police finally received a message from the suspect implying they wanted to meet in-person.
They agreed to meet at a location in East Bridgewater.
Around noon, officers say they saw a black Nissan Rogue driven by a young black man arrive at the location.
The man was believed to be the suspect and they turned on their sirens and approached the vehicle on foot.
The driver attempted to flee the scene, eventually slowing down after being seen manipulating his cell phone.
Police opened the car door while the suspect, later identified as 27-year-old Jacari McConnico-Redric of Quincy, resisted arrest.
McConnico-Redric was eventually taken into custody and a search of his vehicle and backpack uncovered 32 grams of marijuana and numerous marijuana edibles.
He faces charges including: dissemination of obscene matter, enticement of a child under 16, enticement of a child under 16 with intent to violate, trafficking of persons for sexual servitude upon a person under age 18, and possession of a Class D substance with intent to distribute.
