The intersection on Route 139 that passes Hanover Town Hall has been approved for a million-dollar makeover.
WATD’s David Cedrone has the story.
The intersection on Route 139 in Hanover center has long been a bad spot with high crash numbers according to the Old Colony Planning Council (OCPC) who just recently completed another traffic study.
State Rep. David DeCoste and Senator Michael Brady submitted an amendment for a million dollars to a transportation bond bill with the state to help with the funding. DeCoste says it was accepted and should cover the cost of a new rotary.
The OCPC also made suggestions that commercial businesses on Route 53 in Hanover should consider sharing parking lots to reduce the volume of traffic entering and exiting.
