Gas Main Work to Close Grove Street in Plympton on Weekdays

Plympton Police say Grove Street will be closed during daytime traffic hours for a gas main replacement.
Eversource Gas will be replacing a 100-year-old main, with work starting Wednesday. The work stretches from the Halifax/Plympton town line to the Kingston/Plympton line. Grove Street is a cut-through road near the Silver Lake Middle and High School.
Residents will be able to access the street under the direction of police details.The road will re-open to traffic on evenings and weekends.
People should seek alternate routes while the project is ongoing. It’s estimated the project will be completed in 4-5 weeks.
