The Hull Selectmen are in the process of reviewing a host community agreement for a medical marijuana facility on Nantasket Ave.
Latitude 42 Therapeutics, LLC initially proposed plans for a medicinal cultivation and dispensary operation at the former Atlantic Aquarium building. The plans included 16 grow rooms, over 12,000 square feet.
Sean Power, a proponent for the project, says they are revising plans to not include cultivation – just the medicinal dispensary.
“We remain committed to that vision of bringing that local business that’s year-round and would create economic development opportunities,” said Power. “However, during the last year, we did listen to the community and have been out on the market looking for other opportunities and other locations to cultivate.”
Jennifer Constable, Chair of the Selectmen, says the Board decided to not move forward with yesterday’s forum due to the change. Revised plans were not submitted in time for the meeting.
“As the application as we understand, will change,” said Constable. “What we are requesting is that the applicant submit in a timely manner, exactly what those changes are, and how it impacts the rest of the application.”
The next hearing on the host community agreement was set for April 28th.
