The search continues for a man who escaped from Hull Police by running into the bay.
Police and Fire officials say that late Thursday night officers responded to a home for a domestic dispute over a vehicle.
Officers interacted with the family earlier in the day, over misuse of the vehicle, which was later found in Boston.
Upon arrival officers learned that a 39-year-old man who lived in the home fled prior to their arrival and they began looking for him.
The man was located on Cadish Ave., near M St.
He was speaking with two other men and when officers approached the group the 39-year-old fled and ran into the water.
Officials say officers tried to deescalate the situation and get him to come out of the water, the man refused to do so and went deeper into the bay until officers lost sight of him.
A search was immediately commenced with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Dive Team, State Police Air Wing, Massachusetts Environmental Police and the United States Coast Guard.
This incident remains an active search and rescue operation.
