A Marshfield woman has been indicted on a murder charge in connection to the stabbing death of her husband.
Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz says a grand jury indicted 46-year-old Christine Ricci on a count of Murder and Assault and Battery by Means of Dangerous Weapon. In January, Marshfield police received a 911 call reporting a medical emergency at a Moraine Street Home. First responders located 51-year-old Michael Ricci, a Boston firefighter, who was transported to South Shore Hospital.
Emergency room personnel determined he had two stab wounds – one in the chest and another in a back shoulder. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
An investigation determined that the Ricci’s had gotten into a verbal altercation before the incident. Christine Ricci grabbed a five-inch knife and stabbed her husband.
She is currently being held without bail and will be arraigned at Superior Court at a later date.
