***UPDATE: Fluffy has been adopted!!
Fluffy is an adorable, peppy little guy who is about 9-years-old. Originally extremely thin and emaciated, he has been gaining weight and becoming more healthy! Our friends at the Scituate Animal Shelter are looking for a long term trial adoption who can help them follow up with his vet care to get him to a healthy weight by working closely with shelter staff. Fluffy will require small, frequent feedings throughout the day in the beginning.
Fluffy loves his people! He bonds very quickly with his care givers and wants to be with them at all times. Fluffy has gained some confidence and has shown a bit of a spicy side! He is great with “his people” but not a fan of strangers. Fluffy will go to nip someone he does not know well. His ideal home will have few visitors. He does seem to have some separation anxiety and will yip and bark when left alone. Eventually he does calm down. Fluffy is nervous around men. He will growl and may snip in the beginning, but given time he does warm up.
Fluffy does not seem to enjoy the company of other pets. He will need to be the one and only! He is a bit nippy with new people, so a home without children is ideal.
Fluffy will look great once he is a healthy weight and is able to be groomed! We are grateful to be getting this guy back on a good path and into a home that will give him excellent care.
Adoptions are by appointment only and for more information about Fluffy email adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org.
All dogs are fixed, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated and heartworm/lyme tested before adoption. Adoption fees are $360 for a dog, $460 for a puppy, and $250 for a dog with special needs or senior over 10 years old.
