In Plymouth, the Plymouth & Brockton buses are on the road right now. To kick-off the start up, bus company officers were joined by state and local officials yesterday at the P & B depot in town.
Bobbi Clark has more:
John Cogliano, P&B President said the company was closed for 14 months and that time was used to improve the fleet of buses:
“We have some state of the art buses that are fuel efficient, also with a new air purification system that not only filters the air—it brings in fresh air every 4 minutes, then filters it every 2 minutes.”
Senator Susan Moran notes that P & B has added service:
“You can go to Logan, or you can go to T.F. Green and we’re going to start the economy back, right here from Plymouth.”
Selectman Chair Ken Tavares:
“We certainly have missed the bus service. This is a wonderful boon for Plymouth. We can bring people in and out of this community—it takes cars off the road, that’s a win-win.”
And as for buying tickets, Cogliano says:
“You can buy the tickets at p-b.com or you can even buy your ticket at one of our kiosks, that would be in Hyannis and at South Station and at points in between.”
