Cars were lined up on Enterprise Dr. in Marshfield Thursday as WATD played host to another Veterans Food Drive Thru.
J. Richard Watkins, Commander of American Legion Post 35 in Brockton and author of “Vietnam: No Regrets”, says an event like this helps those going through a tough time.
Phillip Pescatore, of the Marshfield Lodge of Elks, came to the Drive-Thru after his group held a similar event.
A crew from Boston Scientific also came out, with Army Veteran Stephen Pellerin saying it’s a way to give back to those who gave so much in service to our country.
While most of the food was handed out to humans, Sarah Nelson, of the South Shore Food Pantry, says they were also distributing food to our four legged friends.
Among those also helping distribute food on Enterprise Drive, with crown in hand, was Royal International Miss Massachusetts Annarose Cicchetti.
Veterans Voice Host Gregg Brasso tells WATD News this was their most successful drive so far.
The next Food Drive-Thru event is scheduled for June 10 at the WATD Studios at 130 Enterprise Dr. in Marshfield.
