Duxbury School Superintendent John Antonucci will be leaving his post to become superintendent in North Attleboro.
During Antonucci’s hearing before the North Attleboro School Committee he referenced recent controversies in Duxbury, such as the use of anti-Semitic language by members of the Duxbury High School football team and a lawsuit regarding an allegation of abuse by a teacher.

Antonucci received a unanimous 7-0 vote from the committee with School Committee Member James McKenna citing Antonucci’s handling of these incidents as a reason to appoint to the post.
Antonucci will succeed Scott Holcomb.
