A Brockton man is facing charges in connections with a deadly hit and run.
The Plymouth County District Attorney’s office says a grand jury indicted 34-year-old Michael Blanche in connection with the incident that took place on November 17, 2020.
The DA’s office says that shortly after 6:15 p.m. Brockton Police received a 911 call regarding a motor vehicle versus pedestrian crash in the area of 259 Pleasant St.
Upon arrival first responders found the victim, 72 year-old Marie Rose Bienaime of Brockton, unresponsive.
She was transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead of her injuries.
Surveillance video used during the investigation identified a green motor vehicle which was later found behind an abandoned residence.
The ongoing investigation identified Blanche as the driver and he taken into custody on charges of Leaving the Scene of a Crash Causing Death and Operating a Motor Vehicle after suspension.
The DA’s office says Blanche is expected to be arraigned in Brockton Superior Court at a later date.
