Missing Person Located in Scituate Near Edward Foster Road Bridge

The U.S. Coast Guard says a male has been located after he went missing in the water in Scituate.

Around 2:45 p.m., the U.S. Coast Guard received a call for a report of a missing man near the Edward Foster Road bridge.

Rescue crews from the Coast Guard Station in Point Allerton, Air Station Cape Cod, along with police and fire personnel from Scituate, Marshfield, and Cohasset responded to the scene.

The Plymouth County Dive team was activated and responded.

Numerous vehicles lined Edward Foster Road, a Coast Guard helicopter circled above the scene.

The Coast Guard says the male was recovered by the Scituate Fire Department around 3:50 p.m. and was transported to South Shore Hospital.
