A Brockton man has been arrested and charged with murder after a man was stabbed on North Main Street.
Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz said State and Brockton Police arrested 40-year-old Keith Disharoom.
On Sunday, police responded to a 911 call reporting a fight near 553 North Main Street. First responders located 44-year-old Eric Cohen, formerly of Holbrook.
He was found unresponsive, suffering from multiple stab wounds to the upper chest. He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital, then transferred to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. He was pronounced dead early Monday morning.
Through witness interviews and video surveillance, investigators found that a fight took place between Disharoom and Cohen.
The investigation is ongoing, but it does not appear to be a random act of violence.
It’s expected that Disharoom will be arraigned in Brockton District Court Tuesday.
