A three-year-old boy was pulled from a pond in Plymouth.
Fire Chief Ed Bradley says it happened around 7:15 p.m. Thursday during a family fun night at the YMCA’s Camp Clark on Hedges Pond Rd.
An off-duty firefighter and off-duty police officer, along with their wives, who are nurses, pulled the child out and quickly started CPR.
Chief Ed Bradley said the child was responsive, but showed labored breathing when he was rushed to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth.
He was then transported by helicopter to Boston Children’s Hospital.
The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office says the boy remains hospitalized, but there is no further word at this time regarding his condition.
