Crews Called Out To Early Morning Whitman Fire

Crews in Whitman were called to the scene of an early morning fire.
Chief Timothy Clancy says that at around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday they were dispatched to 74 Linden St. over a report of a fire in the second floor bathroom.
Upon arrival, firefighters saw smoke coming from the second floor and were able to quickly put out the fire, clearing the scene by 7 a.m.
East Bridgewater provided mutual aid.
Crews were able to keep the fire contained to the second floor bathroom, with damage being reported at around $20,000.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of that fire is under investigation.
