In Plymouth, the disbursement of funds to County towns topped the agenda at the County Commissioners meeting on Wednesday.
Bobbi Clark has more:
Commissioner Sandra Wright talks about the distribution of CARES Act Funds. The Town of Duxbury is getting $223,560.10.
“The Town of Bridgewater is receiving two checks, one in the amount of $43,855.08 and another check for $20,685.68,” said Wright. “Rockland, today, will receive another seven checks in the amount of $293,640.59.”
Duxbury Fire Chief Kevin Nord was on hand to receive a check for his department.
“Annually, the County Commissioners assist us financially. Today, they gave us a check for $10,000 and that augments the expenses that we incur for training new fire fighters as well as training fire fighters that are already on the job,” said Nord. “With both fire officer and fire instructor. We also are responsible for hosting the technical rescue team and the Critical Incident Stress Team – so this money is very important to us.”
The next meeting of the County Commissioners is scheduled for July 8th at 4 p.m.
