Plymouth Fire Department Holding Open House at North Plymouth Station

Jul 31, 2021

An open house will take place at the North Plymouth Fire Station.

Fire Chief Ed Bradley says they moved to the newest station last July, but were unable to host people due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“You’ll be able to see the bunk rooms, the office upstairs, their kitchen area, the apparatus floor, and the apparatus will be there,” said Bradley. “People will be able to see, touch, and look at everything.”

Bradley says the new station replaces the former one built on Spooner Street. That station was built in 1906.

“We started the project, it ran through COVID, and even though we ran into that, we did finish the project on time and about $900,000 under budget, which was excellent for the tax payers,” said Bradley. “It’s a great station. It takes into account all of the known issues that we’ve found with firefighters with cancer, gear, and contaminants.”

North Plymouth Fire Station #7 is located at 15 Hedge Road. The open house will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday (7/31).
