In Plymouth, the red hot real estate market prompts County Commissioners to approve a part-time position at the Registry of Deeds.
Bobbi Clark has more:
At their meeting on Wednesday, Commissioners heard the request of Register of Deeds John Buckley:
“It was an opportunity to transfer money within my approved FY22 budget to add an additional part-time indexer—Commissioners restricted that to one year. I am very thankful the Commissioners supported my request. Any asset we can add to our indexing operation is very significant in these high volume times.”
The vote was two to one with Commissioner Greg Hanley and Commissioner Sandra Wright voting in favor. Commissioner Jared Valenzola voted no. Valenzola explained he would like to have had more time to review the request.
The next meeting of the County Commissioners is scheduled for July 8th at 4 PM.
