In Plymouth, this week, the Planning Board turned down a proposal by The Pinehills to build a dozen town homes and 6 new roads to add to a subdivision on the south side of Clark Road across from Pine Hills Drive.
Bobbi Clark has more:
On a three to two vote the Planning Board rejected the proposal.
Planning Board member Frank Mand:
“Right now there’s 12 units, but a plan for 20 more units, 32 altogether, and the roads would have to be—there would have to be extensive grading of the area, and fill in order to have a road that wasn’t climbing at a high steep angle or dropping down. You don’t want that in a community but neither do you want to have to alter the topography dramatically to achieve that.”
Board members Paul McAlduff and Tim Grande voted yes, while members Malcolm McGregor and Birgitta Kuhn joined Mand in a no vote…
“…but gave them the opportunity to return at a future date with an altered, hopefully, plan that would not take such extreme measures in order to build these houses there.”
The Pinehills proposal was presented by John Judge. WATD reached out to him both by phone and text—he did not respond.
The Pinehills is scheduled to present to the board next on August 24th.
