The Weymouth Police Department identified the victim of a fatal hit and run incident in town.
Police say 61-year-old Xuan Vo, a resident of Union Street in South Weymouth, was struck by a vehicle near Pleasant Street and Ralph Talbot Street. The vehicle fled the scene.

The Weymouth Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a 2011-2014 Volkswagen Jetta GLI. We believe this style vehicle was involved in the fatal hit and run crash that occurred on Saturday, July 17, 2021 around 2:45am. This vehicle potentially has damage to the right quarter panel area and possibly windshield. If anyone has any information regarding this hit and run crash please contact Sgt. David Galvin or Officer Michael Egan at 781-335-1212.

Around 2:45 Saturday morning, a Weymouth Police officer on patrol located Vo and attempted life-saving efforts.
Police are urging the operator of the vehicle to do the right thing and to turn themselves in.

The incident remains under investigation by Weymouth Police and the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office.
