In Plymouth, concerns about the spread of the highly contagious Delta variant of the coronavirus prompts the Board of Health to make recommendations concerning fall Town Meeting and the wearing of face masks.
Bobbi Clark has more:
Barry Potvin, who Chairs the Board of Health, says the group is making a recommendation concerning fall Town Meeting:
“The Board of Health, so far, has decided that the fall Town Meeting—we should recommend—that it be continued as a virtual remote access meeting. We will be talking to Steve Triffletti, the Town Moderator, about that further next Wednesday, but it’s likely that we will probably decide, at that point, that the Town Meeting should be virtual.”
The Board issued a face mask advisory:
“We also decided that the face mask advisory should be put back into effect, whereby everyone, regardless of vaccination status should resume wearing face masks, covering both mouth and nose, when in indoor locations around others—who may or may not be vaccinated,”
The Board of Health has a vacancy for an alternate member. Anyone interested should contact the Town Manager’s office.
The Board meets next via Zoom on Wednesday, the 11th.
