Haiti was struck Saturday morning by a 7.2 magnitude earthquake and Carline Desire, a Milton resident and the Executive Director of the Association of Haitian Women, told WATD News that from what she’s learned the damage is extensive.
She says the situation has been made worse by the ongoing political crisis in the country.
The United States Agency for International Development, says they have authorized the deployment of a Disaster Assistance Response Team to help with recovery efforts in Haiti.
