Bill Keohan, the Chair of the Community Preservation Committee in Plymouth says a ribbon-cutting will take place Saturday for the Comassakumkanut Preserve.
The 57-acre parcel of land was purchased at Town Meeting for $850,000. Plymouth was awarded a state grant for $400,000.
The Condon family owned the land since 1917, and were committed to preserving the land. This combines with preservation efforts of the Herring Pond Wampanoag Tribe and the Herring Pond Watershed Association
A ribbon cutting will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday off of 107 Roxy Cahoon Road in Plymouth.
