Bridgewater Police Chief Christopher Delmonte says a 20-year-old pedestrian was struck and seriously injured last night.

Around 9 Tuesday night, a 9-1-1 call reported that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at the Bedford Street and Grove Street intersection.

On arrival, police located a person from Foxboro suffering from serious injuries. They were medflighted to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.

Early investigation shows the victim was near the crosswalk, and were struck by a woman driving a 2005 Toyota Camry.

Speed is not believed to be a factor in crash. The operator of the vehicle, a 28-year-old woman from Buzzards Bay, remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
