A European style market place has opened on Rt.53 in Hanover.
WATD’ s David Cedrone has more:
Previte’s Marketplace opened back in Quincy in 1963, back then it was small meat market, deli and grocery store and was run by Joe Previte Sr.
His son Joe took the reins with big dreams and has made them come true. He closed the Quincy store in 2009 and opened the Weymouth location the same year and now has opened a second location right on Route 53 in Hanover.
The new location has a European market feel, with high ceilings, giant wooden beams that spread across the store, all in a wide-open area. Previte’s Marketplace opened this past week and Joe says he just feels unbelievable and calls the new location a “destination”.
I spoke to customer Carol Donnelly, she says she has been patiently waiting for the Hanover location to open and loves to meet friends to shop.
Previte’s Marketplace will not be alone at the location. Nona’s Ice Cream, Rocky Neck Seafood and Select Tide coffee roasters and donuts will be available as well in the next few weeks, as well as beer and wine.
