Two people are facing drug charges following their arrest behind a Plymouth hotel.
Police Captain Kevin Manuel tells WATD News that shortly after 10:30 a.m. Monday officers observed two people in a parked car in the back lot of the Hampton Inn & Suites on Plaza Way.
Manuel says when officers spoke to the man and the woman they gave conflicting stories before the man, 66-year-old Brian Cornwell of Plymouth, admitted he was attempting to purchase crack cocaine.
An investigation then commenced which found that the driver, 28-year-old Kathleen O’Rourke, was in possession of numerous bags of crack cocaine along with pills for Adderall, Oxycodone, and Clonazepam.
Manuel says crack pipes were also found during the course of the investigation.
Cornwell is facing charges of Possession of a Class B Drug, subsequent offense and Conspiracy to Violate Drug Law.
O’Rourke is facing drug possession and distribution charges.
She is also being charged with have an Unregistered Motor Vehicle and an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
