Investigation Underway after Kingston Man Found Unresponsive in Plymouth Bay

The death of a 65-year-old Kingston man who was pulled unresponsive out of the water in Plymouth, Sunday afternoon, is being investigated by Plymouth Police and State Police Detectives, assigned to the District Attorney’s office.
The victim, identified as 65-year-old Michael Furlong, was located by a Coast Guard helicopter about a half mile from his lobster boat. The Coast Guard was alerted by the Plymouth Harbormaster, after checking on a boat that frequents the area, had not moved in over an hour.
The victim was taken to shore, by the Harbormaster, was given CPR and then transported to BID-Plymouth, where he was pronounced deceased. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death.
The D.A.’s office says there were no signs of foul play.
