Man Dies Following Brockton Shooting

A man has been died following a shooting in Brockton Wednesday night.
The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office says that at approximately 7 p.m. officers responded to the area of Prospect St. and Walnut St. for a report of shots fired with a person struck.
Upon arrival they found a 2003 Honda Civic crashed into a utility pole and a male driver inside suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head.
The District Attorney’s office says the 28-year-old victim was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital before being Medflighted to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston where he was pronounced dead Thursday morning.
His name hasn’t been released.
The investigation is active and ongoing by Massachusetts State Police and Brockton Police.
