Pedestrian Struck In Quincy

Hancock St. in Quincy has re-opened after a pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle.
Quincy Police say that shortly before 5:30 a.m. Friday they received reports of a pedestrian struck at Hancock St. & Carruth St.
The pedestrian, identified as a white man, believed to be in his 60’s, was taken to Boston Medical Center with serious injuries.
Police also reported that his dog was struck and killed in the crash.
As a result the northbound side of Hancock St. will be closed from Furnace Brook Pkwy. to Merrymount Rd. while Crash Reconstruction investigates.
Motorists are being asked to seek an alternate route and expect delays in the area.
