In Plymouth, recently there have been a series of Select Board executive session meetings posted, some stating the subject as a complaint against the Town Manager. But, recently the focus of the executive session shifted to contract negotiations with the town manager. This, on a contract negotiated only three months ago.

And to hear about the alleged complaints against her, Town Manager Melissa Arrighi met with the Select Board on November 1st:
“I can only tell you that there ended up being no discussion about a complaint against me, but there was an agenda item added just to talk about contract negotiations with me.”
And, again, on Thursday, November 4th…
“there was an executive session scheduled, and again it was strictly to talk about my contract. We’ve seen nothing further about a complaint and I think I can share with you that I’ve seen or heard nothing from the Board specifically about a complaint.”
Melissa Arrighi wants to assure the public…
“…that I am a full service, full-time town manager. We are entering a busy budget season; we are scheduling follow up from Town Meeting. I have just appointed a police chief, so I am here. I am working and if you need anything, most people know how to reach me.”
When he was asked for comment about this matter, Selectman Chair Dick Quintal responded that he has no comment at this time.
