The body of a missing man was located in Bridgewater.
Police Chief Christopher Delmonte says the body of the 67-year-old Bridgewater man was located late Wednesday afternoon.
He was last seen on Tuesday at his home on North St. and was reported missing by relatives.
The search was conducted by police and other first responders from around the region, including mutual aid provided by member agencies comprising the Southeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (SEMLEC) Search and Rescue Team.
A significant search of the area was conducted on foot, by drone, with all-terrain vehicles, K-9 search teams and infrared cameras before a Department of Correction K-9 team ultimately found his body in a wooded area near the Scotland Industrial Park.
The Bridgewater and Raynham Fire Departments assisted in the search.
Delmonte says foul play is not suspected, however as is standard procedure, the death is under investigation by Bridgewater Police Detectives and State Police Detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s office.
