Boston Police say three Bridgewater teens were arrested this morning, and one had to be rescued after they were accused of breaking into a 97-foot yacht.
According to the Boston Police Department, officers responded to a call for a breaking-and-entering in progress at Rowes Wharf around 3 this morning.
Police located 19-year-old Zachary Whiting and 18-year-old Lawrence Kirlis of Bridgewater standing on the bow of a 97-foot yacht, the Valiant.
Officers heard splashing in the opposite side of the vessel, and saw 19-year-old Ryan Convery struggling in the water about 20 feet from the dock. He was coughing, struggling to stay above water, and told officers he could not swim. A nearby rope was used to lift him to safety.
Officers provided first aid, and he was transported to a local hospital, and was released.
A large vodka bottle was recovered from Whiting at the scene. He’ll be charged with possession of alcohol by a minor.
All three will be charged in Boston Municipal Court on Nighttime Breaking and Entering.
