We are reposting Hope today! Would you please share this post to get Hope a home for the holidays?
Hope had a sad story that could be hard to read for some. Our friends at Scituate Animal Shelter told us her story and we are on a mission to help get Hope home for the holidays.
Hope is the sweetest girl there is. Hope is guessed to be about a year old. She loves dogs and cats and is great with all aged humans. She is a bit shy at first, but once she warms up she loves to give kisses.
Now for the sad part. Hope was shot, twice. She was left for dead on the side of the road. Thankfully, she was found just in time and rushed to the vet. One bullet was removed but the second one is lodged in her spine. Because of this, Hope has no control of her bottom half.
Hope wears diapers and is the very best girl about it.
Our friends at the shelter have just fitted Hope for a wheelchair which may allow her to zoom around once again. She is fast on those two front legs! She may need physical therapy if there is a chance she can regain strength. Or she may be just fine in a wheelchair. This is something the shelter will cover, her new home just needs to be up for trips to appointments.
Hope’s ideal home is one floor living, or her new home needs to be prepared with baby gates to avoid any injuries.
All animals are special, but this girl is just a little extra bit amazing. We are hoping to find the very best forever home but we are also seeking a foster home that can spoil her while she waits. Let’s get Hope home for the holidays!
Adoptions are by appointment only. For more information on this pet email adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org.
