In Pembroke, a 15-year-old student is facing charges after they were accused of bringing a weapon to school.
Police Lieutenant Wendy LaPierre says police responded to the high school on Friday. School administrators said the student made threats to three other students. The juvenile had scissors with just one blade.
The student is facing charges that include Threats to Commit a Crime, Terroristic Threats, and Carrying a Dangerous Weapon on School Grounds.
In a separate incident, a 53-year-old man was arrested on Sunday after he was accused of breaking into a neighbor’s home. Police responded to a home on Farnum Road around 4:15 a.m. after a person said they were assaulted.
The suspect left the scene, and police located Donald Kernan, Jr. nearby. He began to struggle with a police officer in the street.
A taser was used multiple times, before three officers were able to arrest him.
Kernan is facing charges that include Unarmed Burglary, Vandalizing Property, Assault and Battery – Attempting to Disarm a Police Officer, and resisting arrest.
