In Plymouth, WATD has obtained the latest contract between the Town and Melissa Arrighi. The new employment agreement calls for Arrighi’s resignation as Town Manager and her appointment as Special Assistant to the Town Manager and Select Board, effective November 30th. This was accomplished in an executive session prior to the Select Board meeting on that date.
Bobbi Clark has more:
Just last August a contract was negotiated, signed, and agreed to by all parties in which Melissa Arrighi would be the Town Manager until next summer. The question is what changed between then and now.
Selectman Chair Dick Quintal:
“I think what you’re referring to is the first amendment to the contract which was to end in July, I think it was the 29th. This one also is the same, that hasn’t changed. The only thing that’s changed has been no more money. It’s just an agreement between the town the Select Board and Melissa as not being involved with the day to day operation.”
And why is that?
“I have no comment. As soon as those minutes are released everybody will realize what happened.”
