Plympton Police Hosting Stuff-a-Cruiser Event Saturday

Dec 10, 2021

The Plympton Police Department is hosting a stuff-a-cruiser event to benefit the Plymouth Area Coalition.

The event takes place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Police Station, located at 7 Palmer Road.

Police Sergeant Matthew Ahl said this is the third year they’ve hosted the event.

“We’re asking the community here in Plympton as well as surrounding communities to bring unwrapped toys, puzzles, books, games, new articles of clothing,” said Ahl. “We’ll be giving out gift bags, as well as serving hot chocolate for anybody that drops off gifts.”

Donations have already started to pour in at the Plympton Police Station. Last year, the Plymouth Area Coalition was able to provide gifts to 294 children in 22 communities.

A lot of members of the Plympton Police Departments have families, and they want to make sure others have a special holiday season.

“That’s a big directive for us here in town, is really connecting with our community and addressing families that are in need,” said Ahl. “It’s of utmost importance for us to be able to make sure that we make someone’s Christmas, for us to really make it special for a family.”
