Three Facing Gun,Drug Charges Following Traffic Stop In Randolph

Three people are facing charges following a traffic stop in Randolph.

Massachusetts State Police say that at around 2:30 a.m. on December 17 Troopers observed a white Subaru Forester with a defective taillight make several marked lanes violations on Route 93 in Randolph.

The vehicle was stopped and troopers made note of three occupants in the vehicle and saw that the rear passenger and driver were reaching toward various areas of the Subaru and ducking out of sight.

Troopers also saw distinct holes in the pillar and bumper of the car that appeared to be bullet damage, and a large bag of marijuana on the floorboards.

The driver, 26-year-old Rechmiaeel Tajah of Dorchester, and the other two passengers, 30-year-old Andrew Coke-Buntin of Stoughton and 28-year-old Berkley Chambers of Dorchester were told to exit one by one.

A search of the vehicle uncovered a Jimenez Arms INC. semiautomatic handgun with a loaded magazine and a round in the chamber.

None of the suspects possess a license to carry a firearm and were placed under arrest.

It was also discovered that the firearm had been stolen out of Little Rock, Ark. on July 6.

Tajah, Coke-Buntin, and Chambers were arraigned at Quincy District Court on the following charges: Possession Of A Firearm; Possession Of Ammunition Without FID Card; Carrying a Loaded Firearm; Receiving Stolen Property Under $1200; and Possession to Distribute Class D Drug.

Tajah was also charged with a Marked Lanes Violation; and Equipment Violation (Defective Taillight).
